HELP!! Garmin Advice

Hey, Running Blogger Friends!

I decided for Santa that he is going to bring me a Garmin for Christmas. I'm looking at the Garmin Forerunner 305 on Amazon.com. The price is better than I expected and it has great reviews. I put it in my shopping cart but don't want to click "checkout" until I find out what you think.

So, those of you who have this watch or know someone who does, please let me know what you think.

Thanks! I appreciate your input!

I have the 305 and LOVE it. I thought the size would bother me, but it doesn't. I've worn it in all sorts of weather and for all sorts of distances and have never had any chafing. It has a ton of features that I don't use, but I've liked all the ones I've bothered to learn.

i have this garmin and i love it! i've had it for a month and 1/2 now and i dont think i'll ever run without it. i also got it on amazon, they have the best prices, i checked around a lot before deciding. it has a lot of features; though i havent learned about them all yet. and you can use it if you bike. i think it awesome!
I have the 305 got it for Christmas last year. I love that it can be used for multiple sports and is water resistant. My only issues are it takes a few minutes to find the satellite when it is overcast..just have to make sure you put it down and let it find the feed. There are Gremlins on a few trails but overall it is very accurate.

My Garmin is a GREAT training tool. I plan to give a full review on Tuesday because I have been asked about it a lot lately..

CHECKOUT!!!!

I also have the 305 and pretty much ditto what everyone else has said. I do wear a thin wrist guard under mine because I have pretty little wrists and it bounces around some, but with the wrist guard, it's just fine.

The only criticism I have is the one I told you about on FB...which is the battery. Mine doesn't hold a charge for more than one run and I have to charge it after every use...two short runs at the most. For the most part this isn't a big deal because I've plugged it into my computer to download the info after every run, but every once in awhile, I forget, and I'm running and I get the "battery extremely low" signal...GAH!

But you should take Penny's advice and buy it.
have it, LOVE it! Buy it if you haven't already
